Digital Painting
This gallery showcases the digital paintings I produce from photographic references. The work I undertake can be of any subject matter – from people portraits to pets, wildlife, homes and gardens, scenic and still-life.
I use various software packages and a pen tablet to produce these paintings digitally. Both the software and hardware allow for full expression of hand movement and therefore gives the artist the ability to produce work in their own individual style, just like the traditional ‘wet’ artist.
I set out mainly to provide a personal service. I prefer to work from a photograph which I have taken specifically for this purpose, although it is possible for me to work from a photograph that you already have in your possession. You could also set out to take a suitable photograph yourself. Either way, it must be of a high quality and the subject matter should fill the frame. I will be able to advise you on its suitability once forwarded to me.
